The SAN University’ publication record serves as a testament to its activities in the areas of scientific research, conferences, and teaching. In order to intensify the publishing activities of the academic community associated with the SAN University, a scholarly publishing house was established in 1999, which has gradually expanded the range of topics covered in its publications and strengthened its position in the publishing market. To date, the SAN University Publishing House has released several hundred scholarly publications, including journals, academic textbooks, conference proceedings, and monographs, published in the following series: “Studies and Monographs,” “Essays and Student Works,”  “Discourses on Culture” (which later evolved into a scientific journal).

Currently, the Social Academy of Sciences publishes six scientific journals, four of which are included in the list of peer-reviewed journals.

These are:

  • Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing Research” (140 points),
  • Discourses on Culture. Dyskursy o Kulturze” (20 points),
  • Journal of Intercultural Management” (20 points),

“Studies and Monographs” Series

“Studies and Monographs” is a series of monographs on topics related to management, psychology, economics, marketing, and related fields. The series publishes original works, the results of scientific and research studies in the form of monographs, and non-textbook-style collective works. It also includes English-language monographs with an international scope, resulting from collaboration between the SAN University and researchers from abroad.

Main topics covered in the monographs::
  • A systemic view of the enterprise, with an emphasis on financial and human resources.
  • Issues of entrepreneurship at the local and global levels, marketing, and logistics management.
  • Topics in management accounting and financial analysis of business entities, and the financial market in Poland.
  • Security and crisis management.
  • International and intercultural management, as well as international economic relations.
  • Psychological issues in management (organizational psychology—problem-solving, decision-making, economic psychology, investing, consumer behavior, rational behavior; career counseling psychology).
  • Education, health, and family.

Each academic monograph is subject to a peer-review process recommended by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

Review Process:
  • By submitting a manuscript for publication, authors consent to the review process.
  • Submitted texts—as part of the so-called preliminary review—are evaluated in terms of form and content by members of the editorial board. The Editorial Board reviews the table of contents of the monograph and decides whether to reject it or forward it to reviewers.
  • The monograph is then sent to two reviewers who are specialists in the field covered by the submitted monograph, hold at least a postdoctoral degree (in the case of reviewers from Poland), and are not members of the journal’s editorial board.
  • Submitted works are not sent to reviewers from the same institution as the authors, nor to individuals who may have a conflict of interest with the author.
  • The review is conducted using a review form.
  • Manuscripts are reviewed on a blind review basis. In addition to substantive comments, reviewers express their unequivocal opinion on the review form, which should be taken into account by the Editorial Board: whether the monograph is suitable for publication in its current form, or after revisions, whether it requires a second review, or is not suitable for publication at all.
  • Reviewers are not permitted to use their knowledge of the work prior to its publication.
  • In the event of conflicting reviews, the work may be referred to another independent reviewer.
  • The work is assigned an editorial number to identify it in subsequent stages of the publishing process.
  • The author is informed of the review outcome, any comments, and whether the manuscript has been accepted for publication. If the manuscript is rejected, the Editorial Board will not return the materials submitted by the author.
  • Reviews are archived by SAN Publishing.
