On 9 March at 10:00 a.m., the Social Academy of Sciences in Warsaw will host a workshop lecture entitled Strengths-Based Development: Understanding and Applying Gallup Talents. The classes will be conducted in English and will be held in a hybrid format – on-site with the option of joining online.
The event is aimed at:
- SAN students studying in English,
- Erasmus programme participants,
- SAN students interested in attending the lecture,
- potential candidates for the Erasmus programme.
About the lecture
Strengths-Based Development: Understanding and Applying Gallup Talents
- During this interactive workshop, participants will:
- gain a clear understanding of the Gallup strengths philosophy and the difference between talents, strengths, and skills
- learn how a strengths-based approach supports personal effectiveness, engagement, and career development
- learn how to identify their natural talents and explore how they show up in everyday academic and professional situations
- take part in two practical exercises translating theory into self-reflection and hands-on application
- experience how talents can be intentionally developed and applied to real challenges and decision-making
- leave with practical insights they can immediately use in further studies, teamwork, and early career choices
Speaker

Katarzyna Lomas holds a degree in English Philology from the University of Warsaw and completed postgraduate studies in Labour Law at the same university as well as in Human Resources Management at Kozminski University , building a strong academic foundation that combines advanced communication skills with a solid understanding of employment law and organisational frameworks.
As a senior manager, she has supported organisations and business leaders in comprehensive people management, partnering with leadership teams on strategic decisions related to talent, performance, and organisational effectiveness. She has actively contributed to HR projects focused on organisational transformation and change, supporting companies through periods of growth, restructuring, and cultural evolution.
She is a recognised specialist in recruitment, assessment and development centres, and talent management, with extensive experience in diagnosing potential and designing development solutions. As an accredited assessor, she brings a high level of professional expertise and credibility to competency and potential assessment.
A key area of her professional focus is strengths-based development using the Gallup approach. Katarzyna is deeply passionate about helping individuals identify and develop their natural talents, translating them into effective leadership, strong teams, and long-term professional success.
She combines strategic leadership experience, deep HR expertise, and a genuine passion for people development. Her workshops offer a practical, inspiring perspective grounded in real business experience and proven development methodologies.
