« back...Theory alone isn't enough. How does the SAN Business Council teach the practical application of knowledge?

SEPTEMBER 2019 | Warsaw

The start of each academic year at the SAN Unviersity is the result of months of preparation and close consultation with the business community. Before students and course participants take their seats in the lecture halls, our educational programs undergo a thorough review during meetings of the university’s Business Council.

Collaboration with entrepreneurs opens up entirely new opportunities for development for both the university and the students themselves. The primary goal of these meetings is not purely academic discussion, but concrete, market-oriented action.

“The main objectives of the SAN Business Council include, above all, creating conditions for knowledge exchange, initiating joint research and implementation projects, and disseminating information about the latest research findings,” explains Miron Maicki, Chair of the Business Council.

A key focus of our work is the flexible adaptation of our educational offerings—including advanced postgraduate programs—to the rapidly changing needs of businesses. We are fully open to collaborative projects with industry organizations.

“We will continue our internship programs for students and strengthen our collaboration with industry professionals so that SAN graduates not only know the definitions and classifications, but also know how to apply them and have taken their first steps in the business world,” concludes Dr. Maciej Dębski, professor at SAN.

It is precisely this approach that ensures our graduates transition smoothly into the job market. They possess the skills and experience that today’s employers are looking for in their hiring processes.
