« back...What is missing in the job market? The SAN Business Council is focusing on analytics and pricing

February 2023 | Warsaw

In business, the organizations that succeed the fastest are those that can analyze data effectively and respond flexibly to change. Unfortunately, many young people entering the job market lack precisely these hard skills. At the SAN University, we do not repeat this mistake. Instead, we focus on close collaboration with industry professionals.

We devoted the entire February meeting of the Business Council to updating our curricula. The feedback coming directly from the market is clear, so we are immediately incorporating it into our teaching plans.
Hard analytics is a market necessity

The experts on our Board have drawn particular attention to a clear gap in Polish economic education. Companies are urgently seeking specialists who understand advanced pricing strategies and possess data science skills. Instead of teaching only academic management theory, we are enhancing our curricula with analytical elements. We want our graduates to be able to work efficiently with real-world data and draw accurate conclusions.

Openness to Knowledge and Entrepreneurship

Higher education must, above all, teach logical thinking. As Council members emphasized during the meeting, technical and analytical preparation is the most solid foundation for effectively leading an organization. We develop these competencies particularly intensively in fields such as Management, Marketing, and Journalism and Public Communication. Importantly, we introduce new content by constantly assessing demand and gathering feedback from the students themselves.

Practitioners Enter the Lecture Halls

The best way to transfer business knowledge is through direct contact. That is why, during the meeting, we jointly decided that members of the Business Council will personally participate in selected classes. For our students, this is a unique opportunity to build professional contacts and learn from people who effectively manage large companies on a daily basis.
