« back...Join us for journalism workshops with AI—media and communication

During this three-hour workshop, we will learn about the artificial intelligence tools used by journalists and communication specialists on a daily basis. We will use modern speech synthesis technologies (Text-To-Speech), generate voices and modify them, and utilize professional platforms such as ElevenLabs. We will learn how TTS works, how it differs from Speech-to-Speech, how AI dubbing is used, and how to recognize the risks associated with deepfake audio. We will analyze methods of voice clone recognition and ethical issues related to the generation of synthetic narratives in the media.

We will talk about the practical application of AI in content production: from podcasts, reports, and video materials, through transcription automation and text editing, to the preparation of press releases, newsletters, and campaign scripts. All this will take the form of workshops with the active participation of attendees.

The workshop is organized by the journalism and communication department of the Social Academy of Sciences. It will be led by Eska radio journalist Andrzej Pinkowski, a lecturer in the SAN postgraduate program in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Media.
