An interactive lecture by Berenika Anders-Mosakowska, MA, entitled ‘Do we still have the right to a 'first impression’? How to consciously create one’s image in cyberspace’, providing a look at the phenomena present on the web concerning image in virtual space.

Every day we are exposed to our data being put online against our will, but how much of the data we put out there ourselves, is it done by our relatives or the institutions we work with? Does the virtual world as it is today, with social media so developed, give us the opportunity to surprise an employer at a job interview? Can we enjoy an awakening romantic relationship? Is there no more room for surprises before we start a new phase?

During the meeting, examples will be presented to give a glimpse into the situation of people who have posted information about themselves, not always thoughtfully, and suffered the consequences. With this in mind, it will be worthwhile to reflect on your online presence and how you can consciously shape your image even in this day and age.
