On January 31, fourth- and fifth-year physiotherapy students in Warsaw had the pleasure of participating in specialized workshops on the Fascial Distortion Model (FDM) method.
The workshops were organized on the initiative of Dr. Justyna Rdzanek, thanks to whom students were able to learn about a modern and increasingly widely used therapeutic approach in working with pain patients. The classes were conducted by Piotr Rybacki, M.A. – a certified FDM therapist and WDMU instructor with many years of clinical and teaching experience.
The FDM method focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of specific fascial tissue distortions, which are a common cause of pain and functional limitations of the musculoskeletal system.
During the workshops, students had the opportunity not only to learn about the theoretical foundations of the FDM method, but above all to participate in intensive practical classes, thanks to which they could develop their diagnostic and therapeutic skills. The knowledge gained is a valuable addition to the classic physiotherapy education program and realistically prepares future specialists for clinical work.
The workshops were met with great interest and enthusiasm from the participants, providing a valuable educational experience and inspiration for further professional development.
